Farmstead Bedstead

Posted by
Les (Isle of Lewis, United Kingdom) on 26 August 2012 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Corrugated iron was widely use in the Western Isles from the 1930's as the old blackhouses were replaced and much of it still remains today turned to a glorious rusty red over the years. On the right day with the sun catching the roof these wonderful old buildings are part of the Hebridean landscape that will live in the mind forever.
